Redesign

J.P. Morgan

I worked closely with the product team to create new design screens for the latest stories and insights, solutions and services, and our stories sections of the company’s website. My UX process involved conducting user research to understand the target audience and their needs, defining the problem space by analyzing the existing design and identifying areas for improvement, and ideating potential solutions through brainstorming sessions and design sprints.

I created wireframes and high-fidelity designs using Sketch and InVision, incorporating user feedback and iterating the designs until they met the project’s objectives. Throughout the project, I collaborated with the development team to ensure that the designs were feasible and could be implemented within the project timeline.

Brand strategy

As part of my work at J.P. Morgan, I designed a new ID card that reflects the company’s values and culture. To ensure that the design truly captured the essence of the company, I conducted interviews with employees, asking them about their thoughts and feelings about working at J.P. Morgan.

From these conversations, I compiled a list of words that employees felt best represented the company’s brand, including teamwork, respect, integrity, loyalty, fortitude, inclusiveness, and world-class.

I used these words to create the background for the ID cards, effectively bringing the employees into the design process and making it a more collaborative effort. Throughout the project, I emphasized to employees that they provided the content and data for the design. After designing the cards, I went through an approval process and presented the strategy and thought behind the cards to senior leadership. I highlighted the need to focus on the people and culture of the company, which was reflected in the design of the ID cards.

The project was a great success, and incorporating chips technology for internal use was the project’s next phase, allowing for access to various services such as purchasing snacks from our centers. This project remains one of my most memorable ones, as it truly reflected the company’s values and the collaborative effort that went into the design process.

Design with purpose

This project is particularly memorable to me because it exemplified the value of inclusiveness and collaboration in the design process. By involving a diverse group of people, we were able to create a solution that not only aligned with our company’s values but also reflected the needs and perspectives of our customers.

I presented this project to our leadership team, highlighting the potential for it to foster growth, promote a positive company culture, and demonstrate our commitment to inclusiveness. As an advocate for more human-centered approaches and inclusiveness in the workplace, I firmly believe that involving a diverse group of people in all aspects of our work is essential to its success.
